Sam found my
Suss stash!!! She had a really great time pulling everything out of the suitcase and then showing it to me. Actually I enjoyed the little displa

y, too. This little baby's got about 1 week left to be everybody's darling, and then her little brother is rushing headlong into her life. So of course I had to lavish some of my undivided attention on her this past week. Jesse was not amused when she pulled on his tail...
This weekend Dave & I went to visit our very good friends Beniva & Devon, who live outside of Ann Arbor. We went to the
Saline Celtic Festival to watch the Highland Games, which involved 6 very large men throwing 56 # weights over broad jump poles

and flipping telephone poles (cabers) end to end (like that guy in the picture -- that one I found online from the games in NC, not the ones I went to). It was very cool but VERY HOT. The highlight for me was when a sheep from the herding competition escaped and ran onto the athletic field during the games. It kept baa-ing so loudly, everyone could hear it. We saw some really cute border collie puppies, too, but managed to leave the festival without one.

The look on Jesse's face is awesome.
don't you just love a muscular man in a skirt hurling a huge log as far as he can?
